Overview
NY Neuro Corporation was formed to develop a hospital dedicated to neurological surgery, together with a research platform built into it rather than attached to it.
Neurosurgical care today is delivered largely in general hospitals designed for a broad mix of services. A facility built for one field can be organized around how that field actually works — its operating rooms, its imaging, its critical care, and the way new technique and technology enter practice.
That is what we are building.
Approach
Three commitments shape the plan.
Single specialty
The facility is designed for neurological surgery and the disciplines that support it, rather than as a general hospital with a neurosurgical service inside it.
Research and care in one system
Clinical work, data, and research are planned as a single operation, so that what is learned in the hospital is available to the people working in it.
Built for what comes next
Imaging, computation, and surgical technique are changing quickly. A new facility can be organized to adopt those changes as they arrive instead of retrofitting them onto older infrastructure.
Team
The corporation was founded by a small team drawn from clinical neurosurgery and healthcare operations.
A neurosurgeon whose work centers on brain mapping and the use of computational methods in surgical planning.
A cerebrovascular neurosurgeon with an extensive record in academic leadership, clinical research, and surgical training.
Leads program development and operations strategy, including planning and partnerships.
Status
The project is in the planning and development stage. We are working with advisors in real estate, capital markets, regulatory affairs, and law.
